At the 2023 Summary and Awards Conference of China National Petroleum Corporation Guangxi Petrochemical, the Zhongke Weier Project Department stationed at Guangxi Petrochemical was honored as an “Outstanding Inspection and Maintenance Contractor” in recognition of its outstanding contributions to work.
Since its establishment in 2015 at the Guangxi Petrochemical Project Department of Zhongke Weier, the team has been providing comprehensive services aimed at mitigating corrosion in production units and offering technical support for long‑term, stable plant operations, thereby laying a solid technological foundation for the sustained and reliable performance of Guangxi Petrochemical. Through close collaboration with management at all levels of Guangxi Petrochemical, the Zhongke Weier Project Department has continuously refined and strengthened the company’s corrosion prevention and control management system, significantly enhancing its overall professional management capabilities. By leveraging advanced corrosion risk assessment technologies, the project department has established and meticulously maintained detailed corrosion rating records for equipment and pipelines, while conducting in-depth inspections and continuous monitoring of critical equipment and high‑risk pipeline sections. Over the past eight years, the project department has analyzed and tracked approximately 176 on-site corrosion incidents, inspected over 280,000 equipment and pipeline points, identified 3,000 potential safety hazards, compiled 20 sets of equipment corrosion loop diagrams and material flow charts, and produced 9 sets of corrosion control manuals. Throughout daily operations and maintenance, project department members remain highly vigilant, closely monitoring plant operating conditions, accurately assessing the real-world effectiveness of corrosion prevention measures, and swiftly responding to various abnormal situations—ensuring that corrosion risks are effectively contained. Adhering to the work principles of “early detection, early prevention, early intervention, and early elimination,” the team proactively identifies and addresses corrosion issues within the plant, making significant contributions to extending equipment service life and ensuring the safe, stable, and long‑term operation of refining and chemical processing units.
The awarding of this honor is a testament to the professional expertise and service quality of Zhongke Weier. However, behind this prestigious recognition lies the meticulous guidance and unwavering support of leaders at all levels within Guangxi Petrochemical, as well as its outstanding strategic planning and resource allocation, coupled with seamless coordination and collaboration in day‑to‑day operations. These factors have enabled the project department to smoothly advance various corrosion prevention and control initiatives while continuously enhancing service quality.
