Zhongke Weier Holds Acceptance Meeting for the R&D Results of the “Online Chloride Ion Content Monitoring System”
2025-01-08
At the end of December 2024, Zhongke Weier held a project acceptance meeting for the R&D achievements of its “Online Chloride Ion Monitoring System” at its Shenyang headquarters, and simultaneously launched the new ZK2600-1 online chloride ion monitoring system. Key company leaders, along with representatives from the R&D Center, Sales Center, and the Anti-Corrosion Services Division, attended the acceptance meeting.
The chloride ion content is one of the key control indicators within the IOW integrity window for refining and chemical processing equipment. Excessive chloride ion levels can lead to equipment corrosion and leakage, jeopardizing the safe and stable operation of the plant. Over the years, in order to break through technological barriers, Zhongke Weier has made substantial investments and pursued relentless R&D efforts. Our R&D team has overcome numerous challenges and, following successful laboratory testing, the first prototype of the online chloride ion monitoring system was deployed in April 2024 for field application research. The system’s on-site pipeline design, installation, and system commissioning were all completed smoothly. After six months of operational testing, the system has met its expected performance targets in critical areas such as environmental suitability, measurement accuracy, and remote intelligent monitoring, thereby fully preparing it for qualified acceptance and market launch.
At the acceptance meeting, the R&D Center delivered a comprehensive report covering project design, research and development, screening for the suitability of measurement methods, elimination of interfering factors, circuit and software design, experimental testing, system integration and commissioning, application research, and data summarization and analysis. The product manager also analyzed the market pain points and technical bottlenecks of online chloride ion monitoring products based on market research findings, outlined the functional features of the developed product, and showcased prototype units as well as on-site application videos and photos. In response to the individual questions posed by the company’s review panel members, the R&D Center provided detailed and accurate answers.
In the end, after rigorous review by the evaluation panel, it was determined that the data and information provided by the R&D Center were authentic and reliable. The “ZK2600-1 Chloride Ion Monitoring System” can effectively eliminate interfering factors; through pre‑treatment technology, it can neutralize sulfide ion interference, achieving a measurement accuracy of 0.1 ppm. Thanks to electrode and pipeline self‑cleaning technology, the system’s maintenance frequency can be reduced. The system’s self‑diagnostic function enables intelligent, self‑healing measurements. The system has been running smoothly for six months, with all key performance indicators meeting the actual requirements of industrial sites, and it has successfully passed phased acceptance testing. The evaluation panel also put forward visions and constructive recommendations regarding the product’s future development roadmap.
In industrial production, rapid dynamic monitoring technology for chloride ions can address the lag associated with manual testing and provide robust technical support for precise, targeted corrosion prevention in process applications. The successful development of the ZK2600-1 Online Chloride Ion Monitoring System has effectively met pressing market demands and overcome key technical challenges. This system has already been granted three national patents and represents another significant advancement in Zhongke Weier’s product portfolio for process corrosion monitoring. We are confident that in the future, it will deliver more comprehensive technical solutions to meet the corrosion prevention needs of refining and petrochemical enterprises.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the corrosion prevention experts at China National Petroleum Corporation Liahe Petrochemical for their strong support and guidance in the on-site application research of this project!
