Zhongke Weier was invited to participate in the 2024 China Petroleum Refining and Petrochemical Enterprises Corrosion Protection and Inspection & Testing Management Conference for exchanges.

On December 3, the “2024 Conference on Corrosion Protection and Inspection & Testing Management for Refining and Petrochemical Enterprises” hosted by China National Petroleum Corporation was held in Lanzhou. Leaders and experts from China National Petroleum Corporation’s Refining, Petrochemicals, and New Materials Division, as well as heads of affiliated Corrosion Protection Centers and Inspection & Testing Units, equipment and anti-corrosion managers from its subsidiaries, and numerous industry experts attended the conference.
At the grand opening of the conference, Zhongke Weier, a leading enterprise in corrosion prevention, supervision, and control for the refining and chemical industry and a long‑term partner of PetroChina’s refining and chemical enterprises, was invited to deliver an experience report on on‑site corrosion maintenance and upkeep during the conference’s exchange session.
This conference was highly efficient and of a high standard, featuring the presentation of eight thematic reports, including a summary of PetroChina’s 2024 corrosion protection work, a summary of corrosion inspections conducted during the shutdown of Dalian West Pacific Petrochemical, a research report on circulating water management, and a research report on equipment inspection and testing. The conference also invited experts from Sinopec to deliver special lectures on topics such as Sinopec’s experience in equipment corrosion prevention and corrosion control strategies for refining and chemical processing units.
During the new technology exchange session, Ms. Zheng Liqun, Chairperson of Zhongke Weier, delivered a report titled “Summary of On-Site (Sinopec Enterprise) Anti-Corrosion Services” on behalf of Zhongke Weier to the attending leaders, which garnered close attention from all participants. The report reviewed the ten-year development of Zhongke Weier’s on-site anti-corrosion services at Sinopec enterprises and showcased the achievements of its anti-corrosion service system over the past decade. It highlighted daily corrosion early warning and control cases, as well as the data accumulated over the past ten years. The report thoroughly summarized and validated the fruitful results jointly achieved by Zhongke Weier and petrochemical plant owners, laying a solid foundation for future improvements in equipment corrosion management and extended operational cycles. In addition, the report also shared insights into phased array technology for small接管 defect detection and intelligent crawling pulsed eddy current inspection technology for high‑altitude equipment.
The conference comprehensively summarized the achievements of China’s petroleum refining and chemical enterprises in corrosion protection for 2024, shared successful experiences, and jointly explored key issues related to corrosion protection and inspection & testing management. In conclusion, leaders from PetroChina Headquarters delivered an important speech, outlining work requirements for areas such as improving the systems and mechanisms for equipment management, conducting equipment inspections, identifying and addressing potential hazards, implementing process-based corrosion prevention, and deploying online monitoring.
