Recently, China National Petroleum Corporation Harbin Petrochemical held its 2023 Major Overhaul Summary and Commendation Conference. At the conference, a comprehensive review of this year’s overhaul work was conducted, and departments, contractors, and individuals who made outstanding contributions and demonstrated exceptional performance during the overhaul were recognized and commended. During this overhaul, our company was responsible for conducting corrosion inspections on Harbin Petrochemical’s major units. Our work was completed with excellent results, earning us the title of “Outstanding Contractor” and the award of a banner of honor. Comrade Liu Hongbin, Manager of the Company’s Corrosion Inspection Department, was recognized as an Advanced Individual in the Overhaul and received a certificate of honor.

During the major overhaul at Harbin Petrochemical Company, our company undertook specialized corrosion inspections and eddy current testing of heat exchanger tube bundles for units including atmospheric and vacuum distillation, alkylation, Catalytic I, Catalytic II, acidic sulfur water, hydrocracking, and continuous reforming. Led by Manager Liu Hongbin, our corrosion inspection team rose to the challenge, overcame numerous difficulties, and successfully completed the project, earning high praise and recognition from Harbin Petrochemical Company.
The corrosion inspection project was initiated in February 2023 with preliminary coordination efforts, closely integrating the RBI report, process corrosion prevention measures, and corrosion monitoring loops to develop a verification-based inspection plan. In April 2023, the team entered the facility to commence work, conducting inspections and tests on a total of 1,107 pieces of equipment and pipelines, during which 106 critical corrosion issues were identified. Daily summaries, analyses, and daily reports were prepared, with in-depth discussions on key corrosion problems and the formulation of corrective action recommendations. This not only bought valuable time for the client’s equipment maintenance and replacement but also laid a solid foundation for the safe and stable operation of the unit in the next cycle.
Our company has been entrusted with the equipment shutdown corrosion inspection work for Harbin Petrochemical in 2013, 2019, and 2023. The repeated trust placed in us fully demonstrates Harbin Petrochemical’s recognition of our company’s professional expertise in equipment corrosion inspection and testing, as well as our strong sense of responsibility. Harbin Petrochemical’s award of the “Outstanding Contractor” title to Zhongke Weier is a well-deserved honor for our company—this accolade bears witness to every dedicated effort that has only grown more resolute over time. It is also inseparable from the trust and robust support extended by leaders at all levels within Harbin Petrochemical, as well as by the Equipment Department and other relevant divisions. Moving forward, we will continue to strive for excellence, build on our past achievements, and live up to our mission.
