Zhongke Weier Conducts Corrosion Inspection Technology Exchange and Training at Dalian Petrochemical

From December 12 to 14, Liu Hongbin, Manager of the Corrosion Inspection Department and Senior Engineer at our company, was invited to Dalian Petrochemical to conduct technical exchanges and training on corrosion inspection during shutdowns.
Dalian Petrochemical Company has a crude oil processing capacity of 20.5 million tons per year and operates 37 major units, making it the largest refining and chemical enterprise in China in terms of crude oil processing capacity. Since the beginning of this year, Dalian Petrochemical has prioritized equipment corrosion prevention as a key management focus, successively conducting analyses of small nozzle leakage, establishing a hazard ledger, performing pulse eddy current inspections, and reviewing and validating corrosion investigation plans for shutdown maintenance. To better prepare for the 2024 major shutdown overhaul, our company was invited to participate in this exchange and training session.
During this training session, Senior Engineer Liu Hongbin introduced the fundamental content and methods of corrosion inspection, as well as its key technical aspects. He also shared Zhongke Weier’s unique technologies, experience, and achievements in corrosion inspection, providing valuable practical insights for the engineers and managers in attendance.
Since 2011, when Zhongke Weier first launched its corrosion inspection services for shutdown refining and petrochemical units, it has completed corrosion inspections on more than 1,000 sets of equipment, conducted over 1,000 failure analyses, submitted more than 1,000 formal corrosion inspection reports, and trained over 30 technical experts. These efforts have provided strong assurance for the reliable operation of production units in refining and petrochemical enterprises and have earned high praise from those companies.
According to reports, Dalian Petrochemical Company, based on the summaries of previous maintenance operations and technical research, plans to shift its working model by bringing in a specialized service team to conduct comprehensive, systematic corrosion inspections during plant shutdowns and overhauls. Zhongke Weier will continue to be committed to providing outstanding corrosion prevention, inspection, and control services, helping customers enhance production efficiency and equipment reliability.
